SCH is rated Grade A in 2018 National Performance Assessment of Tertiary Public Hospitals, ranking 141st in China and 5th in Sichuan Province
Recently, the National Health Commission of China released the results of 2018 National Performance Assessment of Tertiary Public Hospitals on its Public Hospital Performance Assessment Management Platform. Suining Central Hospital (SCH) was rated Grade A among 2398 tertiary public hospitals being reviewed with a total score of 757.6, ranking 141st nationally among comprehensive hospitals and 5th in Sichuan Province.
The performance assessment of tertiary public hospitals is an important means to further propel the comprehensive reform of public hospitals and an important measure to promote their high-quality development. The General Office of the State Council officially launched the performance assessment of tertiary public hospitals nationwide in 2019. The tertiary public hospital performance assessment team set up by the National Health Commission together with related government departments conducted the 2018 National Performance Assessment of Tertiary Public Hospitals through assessment and analysis of national supervision indicators, which included calculating and analyzing over 2.3 billion big data sets with supercomputers and widely seeking the opinions and suggestions of professional experts and relevant institutions. The team monitored and analyzed the supervision indicators of 2398 tertiary public hospitals including 1289 comprehensive hospitals, 576 specialized hospitals and 533 TCM hospitals, made classified assessments from dimensions of medical quality, operational efficiency, sustainable development and satisfaction evaluation; And the 2398 hospitals were ranked according to the results of the assessment.
